A production chauffeur's day rarely looks like a single journey. It starts with an early pickup, an executive from a hotel heading to a 7am production meeting, or a director collected before a dawn call at Pinewood Studios or another major UK studio.
Between engagements, the chauffeur waits, properly, not double parked around the corner hoping nobody notices. Waiting time is built into the production day rate, so there is no awkward conversation about the meter running while your executive is stuck in back-to-back meetings.
Mid-afternoon often brings a studio-to-studio run, a producer needed at a second site, or a same-day collection added when an executive's flight lands early. The chauffeur absorbs it, because the day rate was built for exactly this kind of movement.
At wrap, whether that is 6pm or well past midnight after a night shoot, the same chauffeur is there. Same driver, same vehicle, same standard, which is precisely why productions ask to keep the same chauffeur for the length of a shoot rather than accepting whoever is available each day.

How Chauffeur Day Rates Work
Chauffeur service is charged by the 12-hour production day, not by the hour, in line with the rest of our fleet. From £250 per day includes one driver, one vehicle, waiting time and unit moves. Overtime beyond 12 hours is charged at 1.5x the day rate. Standalone airport and hotel transfers are quoted separately as fixed fares.
